TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH LANGUAGE EDUCATION
This is a unique programme that combines Academic Spanish, Spanish for General Proficiency, and preparation for the Level A2, Level B1, and Level B2 papers of the Instituto Cervantes (DELE) examinations. Designed for students who have not yet entered college or are taking a gap year. It is highly beneficial for students who plan to study at university or work in a Spanish-speaking country.
Our approach incorporates an international perspective and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach. This ensures that students communicate exclusively in the target language, maximizing classroom time and enabling them to develop their language skills confidently and efficiently. Many students have already achieved their Spanish language goals through this successful programme, whether it be for exam preparation, academics, or daily communication.
With our innovative programme, students gain a competitive advantage that brings clarity to their future studies, career aspirations, and long-term learning objectives. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required to enroll, making it accessible to all.
After completing the CSL Advanced Certificate in Spanish program during which students obtain three DELE certificates (A2, B1 & B2) issued by Instituto Cervantes, students will be ready to pursue the Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish for International Communication (C2) at the Mastery level. They can also explore the exciting option of enhancing their language skills by studying abroad for a semester in dynamic locations like Madrid, savoring traditional tapas in Barcelona, or enjoying the sunny coasts of Mexico or Costa Rica. This provides additional avenues for language growth and proficiency.
The Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) is an internationally recognised qualification endorsing the degree of competence and mastery of Spanish language. They are awarded by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, to those who pass the exam.
The Diploma can help students to improve your employment prospects and in seeking further education since it is widely recognised by businesses, public and educational institutions worldwide.

All CSL terms cover the contents of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) of the Council of Europe, DELE Exams by the Instituto Cervantes, Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain & Universidad de Alcalá. This allows our students to have a full understanding of where they are in relation to all major international standards.
__
Term I: A2 Pre-intermediate
Our CEFR level A2 is sufficient for tourism in a Spanish-speaking country and socializing with Spanish speakers, although it allows for networking with Spanish-speaking colleagues but in a limited & familiar topics.
__
Term II: B1 Intermediate
Our CEFR level B1 would be sufficient for interactions with Spanish speakers on familiar topics. In the workplace, people at a B1 level of Spanish are able to read simple reports on familiar topics and write simple emails on subjects in their field. However, a B1 level is not adequate to function fully in the workplace in Spanish.
__
Term III: B2 Advanced
Our CEFR level B2 would allows to function in the workplace in Spanish, and indeed, many non-native Spanish speakers in workplaces have this level of Spanish at entry level positions and may lack nuance particularly outside his own field. Students may lead to new opportunities professionally and get admission for college abroad.
Assessments typically fall into six broad categories:
–
On successful completion of the programme (Term I, Term II, Term III), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and Transcript awarded by the CSL. In order to get a Pass, students must obtain at least 60% of the overall grade.
Certificates of Completion and Transcripts are prerequisites for the next higher level and will be considered as such for a period of one (1) year. After a year has elapsed, students may have to take a placement test to move forward.
