About the Certificate Programme in Medical Spanish

The Medical Spanish programme covers everything the professional healthcare provider needs in the discharge of their duties, including practitioner to patient communication, interaction among professionals, research and much more in the foreign language as well as cultural awareness and many other aspects of specialised communication. Participants do not require any prior knowledge of Spanish to start.

Scheduled live sessions provide human interaction with a specialist. Although attendance is not mandatory to live sessions, the participant is strongly advised to participate in order to practise and improve their Spanish.

Upon succesful completion of both phases of each level, the participant receives a certificate awarded by the CSL. The Online Medical Spanish courses are a stepping stone to our International Certificate programme in Medical Spanish level B2 (Advanced level) and then to our level C1 (Superior level).

With an International Certificate in Medical Spanish, the participant will be able to demonstrate to potential employers that they have attained an advanced level of fluency in spoken and written Medical Spanish, as well as a broad understanding of Hispanic cultural practices and beliefs related to healthcare. The participant will also be able to integrate their linguistic and cultural skills into the knowledge and skills related to their specialty in the healthcare field.

The Caribbean School of Languages is an official examination centre for internationally recognised qualifications in Medical Spanish.
