A Professional Qualification for Professional Participants
Lessons per Week
The Medical Spanish Beginner Phase (I) lays the foundation for specific communication in the health sector. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.
Participants are able to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients, give advice, treatment and prescriptions based on clinical analysis, using specialised vocabulary and structures in the present and past tenses.
Evaluation and certification:
Some of the evaluation components include group projects, assignments, oral presentations and tests in the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
At the end of this level, students are entitled, on request, to obtain a Transcript. In order to obtain a Pass, students must have obtain at least 60% of the overall grade.
On successful completion of all six (6) levels of the Medical Spanish programme, a CSL certificate is awarded and participants have the option of taking external examinations in order to obtain an international certification.
