Spanish for International Communication / Intensive
Overview
The series of intensive short courses in Spanish for International Communication is designed in a unique format that will help participants achieve maximum results in the least amount of time.
These courses in Spanish for International Communication are offered at nine different levels from beginner to advanced. Upon succesful completion of each each level, the participant receives a certificate awared by the CSL.
Participants do not require any prior knowledge of Spanish to start. All the skills and knowledge will be acquired from the basic level throuth the advanced level at international standards.
Participants who wish obtain international certification may take our specialised preparation courses for the recognised DELE exams at all leves.

Our levels
The Spanish Level 1 is for students who do not have any prior knowledge of the language. This level covers the contents at A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe. The communicative approach is applied in all language for international communication courses.
Participants will develop the four language skills, i.e. listening, reading, writing and speaking simultaneously while learning grammatical structures and vocabulary related to the level as well as an appreciation of the culture of the countries where the language is spoken.

- Course duration: 6 weeks
- Age: 18+
Admission Requirements:
- Completed registration form
- Two (2) CSEC/CXC passes in Mathematics and English or any equivalent qualification
- A copy of the student’s ID

The Spanish Level 2 is for students who have succesfully completed Spanish Level 1 or who have been placed at this level based on CSL’s placement test.
This level covers the contents at A2.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe. The communicative approach is applied in all language for international communication courses.

DELE Spanish Diplomas
For the levels
A1, A2, B1, B2 , C1 and C2 of the CEFR*.
The DELE Spanish Diplomas are official qualifications certifying the degree of competence and mastery of Spanish, granted by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
The DELE examinations have been designed following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe.
- Our DELE preparation courses are designed following the exam structure and therefore contain the same sections. Throughout the different activities, the participant will be able to study several samples of the exam in order to get used to the structure.
- DELE stands for Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language). It’s a worldwide recognised certificate of Spanish proficiency.

Some of the evaluation components include group projects, assignments, oral presentations and tests in the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
At the end of each level, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion awarded by the CSL. In order to obtain a Pass, students must obtain at least 60% of the overall grade.
International certification is obtained by way of external examinations.
